The shop is in shambles! Now reopening November 6th.

Hello, Friends.

The best laid plans do not extend to the laying of flooring. The flooring installer has been rescheduled for late next week, so my plans of being reopened for this week's CVQA quilt show will not be happening.

In case you don't know about the show, it is Friday (10/25) 9:00AM - 4:00PM and Saturday (10/26) 9:00AM - 3:00PM at:

Concord Community Church of the Nazarene
9826 Concord Road | Brentwood, TN 37027
(Just 5.8 Miles East of Brentwood Library off of I-65 or less than 1/2 mile from the intersection of Concord Road and Nolensville Road)
$10 gets you into the show for both days!
For more info, see the this flyer or visit www.cvqa.org.

I am disappointed I will not be open during the show since I am only a few miles away. However, now I will be able to go to the show! After all, I do still love quilts!

I am also disappointed in the state of the shop right now. It’s in an almost all packed stage.

I mentioned in my last blog post, that not everything that leaves the space will come back. So, what kind of things am I talking about? First, the wire shelving at the front will be replaced with wooden fabric shelves. It will be much easier to see the bolts of fabric. One of the shorter front tables will be moved behind the counter to provide more space for shopping. Behind the counter, I’ve already taken down multiple wall-mounted shelving units, and they will be replaced with quilts and a design wall. I’m working towards a cleaner, more streamlined and neat appearance.

In this packing process, I have rediscovered many treasures. Some were still in boxes from my initial move-in, and others only have a few yards or 1 or 2 items left. In my complete overwhelm of all these items in packing tubs, I decided that the best place for them when I reopen is in your sewing room! That means I am planning a HUGE sale! So, keep reading my weekly journal for sneak peeks at specials for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday.

Before I get too distracted thinking about that, it’s time to GO STITCH! I’ve still got customer memory quilts that I brought home to work on while the shop is in shambles. So, while I stitch together memories, you go make something beautiful!

Blessings,

Joy :)
