The Free Spirit quilt pattern by Judi Madsen of Green Fairy Quilts encourages each of us to follow our own arrow.  Designed with large blocks of tri-color arrows and geometric shapes on a single background, there is plenty of room to showcase the quilting.  Use solid colors with contrasting thread to highlight the quilting, or use small printed patterns in bold colors to make a statement. This pattern could also be used with ombre fabrics to create a transparency quilt.

Each pattern includes detailed instructions to make the 28 1/2" block, and a color key for making both of the colorways that alternate in the quilt.  Combining the blocks into the 9x9 setting as directed in the pattern will yield an 85" x 85" square finished quilt.
